The Bang Bang Theories

Blue

Blue is my fave color, because it’s the color these waters and skies. And my train-conductor-ish bathing suit, as it was pointed out to me it looks like what I’m wearing. If train conductors were sexy AF that is.

Let’s continue our 2024 Recap before it’s 2026.

We’ve chitty-chatted about the things that worked for me in 2024, which I want to continue / expand / do more-more-more of in my quest to be this:

Now, “obsessed with fitness”?  Seems like a reach.

But maybe I can BE that woman? I’m mildly interested in these three things meme’d above; I’m not sure I’m all the way “obsessed” with anything other than Trader Joe’s Chantilly Vanilla Cake, puddy tats, and not wearing bras.

My actual real-life has a lot less fun things in it, including but not limited to:

1.  Cleaning my cats stinky b-hole this afternoon because he kept walking on me and wafting that poop butt in my face. I had to take action, and I guess you could say I was “obsessed” with not smelling poop in my face because I aggressively and immediately took a handful of wet wipes to his b-hole area.

That was my Lord’s Work on the Lord’s Day.

We all have our role to play.

Which leads me right into my reflections on what didn’t work as great for me in 2024 and I’m thinking about making some improvements in these areas:

Area #1:  Writing. I barely wrote a g-d* word for my own enjoyment in 2024. I was almost never here, and that is a travesty, because you know the full extent of the content you’ve been missing. If I don’t get on here and write up my stories, you will think my five three cats walk around with pristine b-holes!

*g-d because it IS the Lord’s Day still. Except now I made YOU say it in your head, which probably isn’t better, so use Garth instead and you’ll feel better about the implied cussing.

For a while I was doing a LOT of writing for my own benefit. Old Me used to complete journals of morning pages, she wrote stuff here, she planned and created via the written word and then I sort of just … abandoned it in 2024.  I was busy getting My Mister’s creative endeavor launched, and actually spent the better part of today when I wasn’t cleaning b-holes to work on his marketing sell sheet. I almost – almost – didn’t come here to talk to you because mentally I’m almost done with words, but that’s really just shortchanging you. I mean me.

So for 2025, I am going to practice exercise my brain via writing more again. You’re welcome. And I’m sorry.

Area #2:  Money. I mean, what is there to say. I make money. I just can’t seem to HOLD the money, and as we all (who’ve watched Seinfeld) knows, it’s the HOLDING that’s the important part. I am aggressively and strategically working on this for 2025. Ways to make more of it. Ways to keep more of it (hint, me: stop buying shit on Temu and Amazon).  Also, make my eBay account an actual extra “extra money” fund that I save for my Big Dream Vacation or a New Bed that Elevates instead of “let me spend that $20 on a new magic make-up product.”

I’ve had Hawaii dreams and new bed dreams and I’ve made enough on eBay to have done both of those things, but I squander it. Enough squandering.

Pay off my bills. Be debt-ish free. Get it under tighter control and know what I’m spending when and where. Simple. (ha).

Area #3: Decluttering. I am sick to effing death already of constantly “working on” getting my shit “organized.” I will NEVER be successfully organized because there is just too. much. shit. in. my house. I refer to my upstairs second bedroom as “the shambles” because it it s a hot-AF-mess with everything just getting pitched in there in a heap.  It’s partly because I accumulate stuff to sell on eBay and I’ve run out of room for it. I do SELL on ebay, so it’s not all for naught.

We’ve made strides in the basement, garage, shed and some in the office. The closets are cram-packed with stuff I haven’t touched in years. Stuff falls out and onto my head when I go to get something. It’s ridiculous to live this way. It is not serving me.

I vision a GIANT trunk of stuff going to the donation places this month. I started clearing out some stuff at the end of December, things I had on eBay for too long that isn’t getting any traction/interest. Let it go. Heaps of clothes I can’t seem to sell. Let it go. I have no less than three giant comforters up there as well, which takes up a lot of space and some of that just needs to G.O. AWAY. It’s crushing me. So let’s do better in 2025, Me. Let’s clear those closets. Let’s organize what I do need to keep. I just need about three more months in a year. I need a fifteen month year. More summer, please.

Area #4: Fun.  Would I look back and say I have “fun?” I’m not sure I can give that a Yes. What is fun to me? What do I want from that word? I know what it’s not and when you know what you don’t want, you kind of know what you do want. I don’t want more travel…..I don’t want just “not being here” travel. I want more FUN in my daily and weekly life, which will add up to it being in my months and then of course my year.

I’m kinda miffed a lot of the time.

I don’t want to be miffed.

I want….more comedy, more games, more get-togethers, I think I want more champagne, I want more summer fairs and farmers markets and day-trips. I want more moonlight and sunshine and walks in nature. I want to go hiking. I want to ride on boats – not ships, but local lake boats. I want more nights on the deck, more summer breezes. I want more exploring. I want connections that matter. I want more outdoors overall and airy indoors.

I want less time on social media, I want less news, I want less less less politics and I want to care less about politics. I want to insulate myself from politics. I feel happier when I ignore everything outside of my immediate perimeter. Do I want to be an ostrich? Maybe.

I know I could go on, but these are four areas and why get too carried away. I planned a vision boarding day at my house for next weekend, and this is a good damn start for me. You can’t get there if you don’t know where you’re going. So I’m just dialing in my Life GPS for this year.

Let’s see where it takes me.
